Captain Ron owns and runs Don't Panic Sportfishing. He loves being on the water and has years of experience fishing and boating from Massachusetts to South Florida. He holds a 50-ton USCG Master license and has spent more than 30 years guiding anglers to the hottest fishing spots. Whether you are here to fish or just enjoy a boat trip, his team will make sure you have a great time full of fun and laughter.
Don't Panic Sportfishing offers different experiences for our guests, but fishing is where it started and where it stays. You can choose from offshore deep sea fishing charters out of Pompano Beach, a quick half-day on the reef, or a full day chasing pelagics along the Gulf Stream edge. The boats are kept in top condition, and a skilled crew is ready to make your day on the water memorable.

Meet the crew in Pompano Beach
Morning trips leave at 7 AM and afternoon trips at noon. Licenses, tackle, bait, ice and bottled water are already aboard. Adults 21 and over are welcomed with a complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa.

Clear Hillsboro Inlet and set lines
The fishing grounds are just 1 to 5 miles offshore, so the run out is short. The captain moves between the reef, wrecks and the Gulf Stream edge depending on which of the fish species we target off Pompano Beach are running.

Fillets at the dock

Captain Ron
Owner & Captain ยท 50-Ton USCG Licensed Master
Captain Ron owns and runs Don't Panic Sportfishing. He loves being on the water and has years of experience fishing and boating from Massachusetts to South Florida.
Captain Ron is a 50-ton USCG licensed captain with over 30 years of experience guiding anglers to the hottest fishing spots. He's out there every week, tracking what's biting and where the fish are moving. That's the difference between a captain who knows the water and one who's just following coordinates.
Captain Lucas
Captain
Captain Lucas is a born and raised Florida Native. Fishing since a child, Lucas has been raised on the water and running boats since a young age. His time on the water has given him the experience and knowledge of that he uses every day when taking out our charters.
When Lucas is not fishing the waters of South Florida you will still find him somewhere on the water.
Mate Damian
First Mate
Damian was born to be a fisherman. Don't let his young age fool you, he is one of the best mates on the water. Damian's experience was gained fishing on tournament boats and brings that knowledge and love for what he does to our charter guests.
When not on a charter, he is back on the water with friends, out on the ocean chasing his dream. I have had several mates through the years and by far, Damian is the best at what he does.
